Music for Your Next Run

Wednesday, December 5, 2012

The other day, someone emailed me and asked what music I like to listen to while I run. So I made a playlist!

You can play it in the widget below or check it out right here. Enjoy!

I like to start with slower music and move to faster beats later, as I get tired. What about you?

Thanks for the question, Lisa!

  1. Love all those songs. I wish I could run to slower music but its hard for me to pace. My husband ALWAYS runs to techno, and I can tell cuz he sometimes dances. I myself like to run to Britney, Lady GaGa, Beyonce or anything with a fast beat. Sometimes I download old school stuff like Janet Jackson, Escapade to get me in the mood to run. :)

    1. I like running to slower music because I find that when I do, I can go for longer. I try to run too fast at first if I'm listening to something faster and then I can only go for a mile or two!

  2. Take Me or Leave Me is the perfect running song. It's on every playlist I make too.

  4. Slower songs just don't get me going..especially in the beginning of a work out. I'm all for pump up music, all the way. We made a gift guide for work out lovers today!

  7. Just found this post, which is brilliant as i've been looking for running song inspiration. I like to run to some slow songs, something random and different, the kind people may not think of running to. I like to change up my tempo and have a slower song every 3 song, so its my cooling off period. I find I have my staple songs that really get me going if i'm struggling (the ones I put on when I need that extra push) but generally I tend to get bored of songs easily, do you find that? My husband just listens to Queens greatest hits EVERY time he works out...I love Queen but that would eventually drive me crazy. Someone suggested the other day that I should run to a podcast or audio book! Not sure about that one...

    1. So glad you found it! I've never run to an audio book--but I bet it would pass the time!
