Thank you all so much for your well-wishes via text, Twitter, and blog post comments this week!
After several quarts of wonton soup without the wontons plus steamed chicken and vegetables (it was all I could eat--luckily it's my favorite), cup after cup of herbal tea, little cocktails of orange juice, vitamin C powder, echinacea, and colloidal silver (have I ever mentioned that we're kind of crunchy in The House of Flynn?), and about a day and a half's worth of naps, I finally feel like a human again.
[Sometimes I have trouble putting my love for honey into words. I think this photo does it justice.]
I haven't shared Friday Favorites in a while, so I have quite a few links listed today. Hope you enjoy! And let me know what you've been reading/eating/wearing lately!
First of all, I have to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful friend Jenna. Jenna, I love you so much and I miss you!
I'm almost done with this little collection of stories from F. Scott Fitzgerald and you guys, I know we all know this, but that man can write. It's like eighty pages and you should all read it some lazy weekend when you're at home or in a coffee shop.
One thing I love about Rob is that he periodically sends me pictures like this one throughout the week.
Dana from The Wonder Forest has wonderful e-book available called Blog Wonderful: An E-Book for Bloggers.
My friend Whitney sent me this article about coconut oil and I'm all about it!
I'm trying to do this thing where I don't spend any money on anything I don't absolutely need in 2013, but this little tulle skirt is making it so difficult. Also this sweater.
Interesting to read about Israel's ban on too-thin models, as well as a few other countries' responses to the problem.
Robyn's blog always gives me serious wanderlust.
Is anyone else out-of-control excited about the return of Arrested Development?
Diana lives in Minneapolis, loves animals, and is super active and seems wonderful! I especially like her Ask a Vegan column.
Don't forget to enter to win a custom blog design from Signed, xoxohannah!

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're feeling better!!! When I'm sick, I also nap a LOT. I have an allergy to acetaminophen (took me forever to realize this) so I need to take some other NyQuil like thing that doesn't have it, plus lots of healthy food and fresh ice cream or sherbert. Mmmm.
ReplyDeleteI spent last week down for the count as well. It sucked. Only all I had an appetite for was sugary junk food haha. I wish I could use coconut oil for everything but my husband HATES coconut :( And I am SUPER excited about Arrested Development, especially that it will be on Netflix !!!
