Randomly learned how to knit and am now making a very wide scarf. Or maybe it's a blanket.

Almond cheese and gluten-free bread because sometimes, you just need a sandwich.

Re-using every paper cup in the world. It started as a desire to be environmentally-friendly and now it's an obsession.

The most beautiful sunset on Saturday night.

  2. you really do have the most amazing sunsets at the lake. don't feel like you have to respond to this - I just want to throw it out - but I hope you and Rob are doing okay navigating the cadences of long distance life. much much love!

  4. are you enjoying the almond cheese? I haven't bought it again since the first time (it has casein which is a milk protein and since Kyle and I are obsessively being paleo, it's a no-no), but i think it's such a good sub for the real thing!

  5. Can we please talk about that paleo bread and how normal and bread-like it looks? Please share. Actually, please publish your cookbook, like tomorrow.

My friend taught me to knit and I never learned how to cast off and finish a scarf...so, every winter I work on the same scarf and just keep knitting. It might end up being a world record.

Also, when I saw the picture of the sunset I immediately thought of Rocky sitting in a rowboat, enjoying it. My brain is a special place.

  6. Yay for knitting! I love to crochet and find it incredibly relaxing . . . especially in the cooler months. I couldn't even tell you how many scarves I've made over the years, but I never get tired of it!

  11. I love the yarn you're using, looks so cozy. I learned to knit two years ago and my second project was a blanket. It took me forever but now it's so pretty resting on the couch in my living room. Also beautiful photographs :)
