It's Friday!
We had gorgeous spring days almost all week and then this happened yesterday.
Even weirder than the March snow we got. What's the weather like where you are?

I had this dead succulent in a windowsill and it sprouted a new, healthy one, but now I'm in a panic over how to care for it. I think this article makes sense, but I'm not sure. Anyone have any tips? I'm horrible with plants.
I got stopped by Roanoke Times Style Street blogger David Verde and was in the paper, which was kind of fun. You can read the online version here.
Loved this awesome response to a truly ridiculous piece from a bitter high schooler.

Rob and I have two weeks before we get to spend time together again, so the weekend isn't that exciting for me, but I have plenty to do for the next few days. After travelling so much over the past month or so, I'm really looking forward to a few days of relaxing and recharging. What are your plans for the weekend?

  1. It's still cold here in France, and I can't wait for spring to finally start. It's been snowing in Normandy, but not where I live. I want SUN! :)

PS: I absolutely love succulents, but I'm like you: I don't get them! No trouble with other plants and flowers, but these guys are complicated. :)

  2. That high schooler's response is AWESOME. I'm still sitting here, stunned, at the original article. How much more entitled could a person get? Wait, I probably don't want to know.

    We're no stranger to March/April snow here, but it feels like it's lasting longer than normal and I so want it to go away ><;

  3. I just love NPH so much. He's a sweetheart. And look at you, getting stopped on the street! You're famous.

  4. Than you so much for the shout out! I see results and feel better and better everyday! And thanks for posting the 50 Shades of Gluten Intolerance article. So interesting and informative. The better I feel, the more I want to learn about health and nutrition.

Hope you have a great and relaxing weekend!

(If you do get board you should watch the documentary Hungry for Change [if you're in to that sort of thing]...it's on Netflix. Very informative and inspirational!)

    1. I just started Hungry for Change right now! Your comment could not have come at a better time! I've been eating really well and today I was REALLY craving Annies mac and cheese (have not had gluten + dairy in forever!) but I've calmed myself down while watching this on Netflix!! Thank you!!! :)

  5. Looks like we are in for 2 weeks of good weather here. I'm hoping that means Old Man Winter is hibernating till next year.

  6. It was nice here too...The last two days have been overcast and rainy! I'll take that over snow though :)

My weekend is going to be full of laundry and cleaning...Then, I'm heading back out to help a friend for a few days.m

    Enjoy your weekend to relax!

  7. I love NPH and his family. They are THE cutest. And a bathtub full of puppies? I agree, what more could anyone want?! Loved those signs against DOMA. Hoping so much that our country comes out on the right end of all that craziness.....I hate when we figure things out years later. We should be better than that! Have a great weekend, friend, hopefully it warms up for you :).

  8. Your article on The Roanoke Times is so cute! You look gorgeous. No wonder he stopped you!
The weather here has been weird too. It was a 47 high yesterday and by Wednesday the high will be 80. I'm so confused!!

  9. I'm in the Netherlands and our weather has been just as crazy! Snow, sun, rain, hail, some more snow and then sun again. As for now the skies are gray and the whole thing is just sad. Let spring come soon, please!

  10. Weekends are all about the recharging- I suppose that is an advantage to long distance, you get little weekends to yourself! We had rubbish weather for easter too- all cold and little snow flurries. But the sun has got his hat on now!! x
