Rob and I had a weekend full of good food, cocktails, apartment decorating, IKEA, lots of episodes of House of Cards and a few skits from Portlandia, farmers' market wanderings, and an amazing Saturday evening spent on our patio with Thai takeout.
Now that there's a definitive date set for me to move in, this visit to the Twin Cities felt even more special than the other two. I packed a suitcase full of things and left almost all of them hanging in the closet or nestled in a newly-claimed drawer. I felt less like a tourist and more like I belonged, with a list of favorite places already. (Hint: one of them is the patio.)
This place is pretty amazing in the summer.
That farmer's market looks AWESOME!

I love these pictures. I live in WI and although it's not far from MN, I've never visited. I think that I may change that because the Twin Cities looks so beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI love the St. Paul Farmer's Market. It's my favorite. Another thing to love about Minnesota, you can always get a beer chaser with your bloody mary :)
ReplyDeleteThat Bloody Mary looks insane! Worth a trip for that alone, I think.
ReplyDeleteTell me about it! I can't wait to go back and get another.
Deleteso fun that you get to move there soon! it will be nice to have a new city to explore during your engagement :). Also, every time I see your ring I die a little. Love it!

ReplyDeleteAnd that farmer's market looks great! Am I the only one utterly turned on by the thought of cherry cardamom sugar???

Nope! All the sugars there were amazing. And they had tons of flavored olive oil and vinegars, too!
DeleteMN looks lovely! Having a definite move-in date has got to feel good!
ReplyDeleteDid I ever mention that I am in a few episode of House of Cards? Look for me in the episode with the churches (I think 3) and Episode 11! I've never watched the series though - is it good?
