This Morning at the Lake

Monday, March 25, 2013

I drove through four hours of snowy roads from DC to Roanoke last night and woke up to this scene today:

Maybe spring isn't quite ready to be here to stay, but I can't really complain.

  1. it's beautiful, but walking to work this morning was like navigating through a home alone rig! at any moment, i could have humiliated myself in a variety of falling incidents!

  2. I'm also in Virginia - this snow is a little late, but today's is especially pretty!

  3. That is absolutely beautiful! Still...I'm loving the SPRING weather and crossing my fingers that all that snow stuff doesn't make it's way here.

  4. Beautiful! I could handle some snow with a view like that.

  5. I don't even check the weather anymore - I just look at all my DC/Virginia friends and then know it will be here in like a day. fml

  6. I think snow is really beautiful when I don't have to deal with it. If there's an inch of fluffy snow on the trees, I'm good, because it's not enough that I'll have to shovel. I thought I'd wake up to a snowy mess here in New York, but there have just been flurries. Happiness. ;)

  7. You live in such an incredibly beautiful place. We have NO snow, and although the misery it seems to be inflicting on the rest of the UK makes me feel lucky, this makes me feel like I am REALLY missing out. x

  10. It's so pretty! If snow looked like that here in Chicago, I might begin to not mind walking in it so much. After a few days, ours is just black mush.

  11. I had the same thing up here in Jersey, so beautiful even if I'm dying for the Spring. Always love it when you share some pretty pictures of Virginia :)
