Every year, my mom plants an herb garden. This year we also got some salad bowls! Lettuce in one pot and arugula in another. This is always one of my favorite things--I love cooking something in the kitchen and being able to just randomly go outside for some fresh basil or chives.
We planted these about two weeks ago and they're growing further already. Spring is here and summer is on the way!

these look wonderful, Megan! Now I'm inspired to get back to gardening!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I want! :)

It's easy enough!
DeleteLove that! This is kind of silly...But, after you cut some lettuce, how long does it take for more to grow back? (It does grow back, right?)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I go through so much salad though I think mine wouldn't have a chance to grow anything!
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing array of herbs! The most I've ever managed to keep alive is the odd basil plant on our kitchen windowsill, and even they didn't last long. I envy your green fingered ways!

Oh gosh I don't know if I'd go that far! I can barely keep a succulent alive. Buying herbs that have already sprouted is the key!
DeleteYou and your mom are so fabulous together!
ReplyDeleteMy mum and I are going to plant some herbs soon too- it is so lovely just being able to go and grab some fresh bits to put into supper!! xx
ReplyDeletelove how you are wearing lipstick while planting! You guys are the best!
ReplyDeleteyou with the red lippie and the gardening gloves :P
ReplyDeleteLooks great! My garden is totally going off. I have been able to pick fresh greens for a salad for the past couple weeks now. Enjoy your plants!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love picking my own salad every night.
DeleteThis is wonderful! My mom planted some herbs out back, but I really want something like this when I have a place of my own with outdoor space. Planting lettuce is an awesome idea.
