I tried to fancy up some little pork loin cutlets the other day. I think it worked.
Ingredients:
Pork Loin
(You can cut it yourself or get a package of cutlets from the grocery store.)
One large sprig of fresh rosemary
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
Olive oil and grass-fed butter for frying
1. Heat a large pan with olive oil and butter.
2. Season one side of the pork cutlets with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Place the pork into the pan with the seasoned side down.
4. Season the other side, flip them when the meat starts cooking around the edges and the underside is browned (about 3-5 minutes depending on the thickness of the cutlets).
5. Pour applesauce over the pork. Add rosemary. Let other side cook through (another 3-5 minutes).
6. Garnish with rosemary and serve with extra applesauce.
Yum!! Are you still writing a cookbook? If so, I need to be placed on the pre-order list. Kthanks. :)
ReplyDeleteso so good!
ReplyDeleteI just made pork chops tonight.. but with non paleo friendly shake and bake. We eat pork chops a lot and am glad to be able to try this out for next time!
Oh I'm so glad you like this! You should give it a try! Let me know how it goes!
DeleteI love that you share how to prepare easy meat dishes. Somehow I am crazy creative in the kitchen when it comes to preparing veggies, eggs or bake something, but when it comes to a good piece of meat I freak out - mostly because I don't like to ruin it by experimenting. So thank you a lot for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I also think it's easier to be creative with veggies, and I'm guilty of just salt and peppering something and throwing it in a pan. This one was fun, though!
DeleteI never would thought about pairing these two together. Looks AMAZING. Thanks, love. If you get a sec, I'm sharing my Vanity Fair feature on my blog today. :) xo
