Minnesota Morning

Friday, February 15, 2013

Good morning from the Land of 10,000 Lakes! My flight got in late last night and we're just getting going. Rob has to work today, but was told to take his time getting in, so I'm dropping him off at his office so that I can have his car for the day!

Anyone in the Twin Cities area have any suggestions of what we should do, where we should go, or what we should eat?

Have a great weekend!

  3. Welcome! Lots of museums, Science, History,Walker Art all fun depending on what you like. There's the MN Zoo and the Como Zoo (which is free). One of our favorite restaurants is Chino Latio's in uptown, which is also a fun place to roam around. Pumphouse Creamery has the best ice cream ever...seriously. Have a fun time!

    1. Oh sounds good! We tried to get a reservation to Chino Latino's but they were booked! Definitely going next time, though.

  4. If it's warm enough, go for a walk around the lakes. Lake Harriott is my favorite. In the summer, there are shows at the bandshell, but it's still pretty in the winter. (and, when it warms up, rent bikes. Biking around the lake trails in the middle of Minneapolis is one of my favorite, favorite things in this world.)

  7. Mall of America is a definite must..you could spend your whole day there (or more). They also have the ice castle you can visit right out front during this time of year. The Orpheum theater is playing "The Book of Mormon" if you want to get student tickets for these. If you are looking for photo ops..there is always the 'cherry and the spoon' in the Walker Art Center sculpture garden. 'Triple Espresso--a highly caffeinated comedy' is playing in Minneapolis as well. Here are some other suggested things from this site: www.minneapolis.org
